Department is having library with a valuable collection of books and journals, of national and international repute, in the areas of agriculture,marketing, planning and statistics and other important areas, besides a rich collection of databases on agriculture and allied subjects. The library has a collection of over 500 titles, Indian and foreign journals.
These Guest House is primarily meant for official guests of the department participants of Seminars / Conferences / Training Programmes etc.. Scientists/Researchers from other ICAR Institute/SAUs/ Central /State Government may also be accommodated provided they write well in advance for reservation of rooms to the Officer In-charges of the Guest Houses. Accommodation shall be provided subject to the availability of rooms at the time of arrival of the guest. The Guest House having one double bedded A/c room with attach bathroom and colour TV.
The Department has well-designed conference hall of International standards having sophisticated infrastructure to conduct meetings, seminars,lectures, symposia, and international conferences . This hall is having seating capacity of 100 is furnished with centralized AC facility attached with banquet hall. The auditorium is equipped with the latest audio video equipment such as projectors, DTS system, stage lighting system.
For analysis of the Soil Samples for NPK and micronutrients
collected from the farmer’s field and to recommend proper
fertilizer dosage.
Imparts various training programmes to the farming community and take them for exposure visits inside and outside the State for adopting new scientific farm technologies. Trains extension functionaries and officials of agriculture and various lined departments.it also conducts different workshop and seminars from time to time.
To produce various biological agents to control the pest problem
prevailing in the farmers field such as Trichogramma chilonis,
so as to promote low cost farming and organic cultivation in the
State.
It is utilised during the On-campus training programmes held at FTC,Ela by the traiees. Also other extension beneficiaries & college students occupy it during different study tours & exposure Visits.It has the capacity to accommodate 75 occupants at a time.
